Lin-Manuel Miranda re-tells the tale of Alexander Hamilton, the first American Secretary of Treasury, through Hip-Hop and R&B music that has charmed audiences for nearly ten years. "I understand how ridiculous the elevator pitch for this show is," said Miranda. "It sounds improbable. And then once you start hearing about Hamilton's life story, it sort of makes sense". Alexander Hamilton’s story is a chaotic one, to say the least.
From penning the Federalist Papers to setting up the American Coast Guard, and eventually meeting his tragic end at the hands of Vice President Aaron Burr. The Musical deals with numerous key points in the Nations history.
By re-telling this story, Hamilton has gone on to win 11 Tony Awards, a Grammy, and a Pulitzer Prize!
